I came across a playlist of wedding songs recently and chances are that you will definitely hear these songs at the next wedding you attend. My wife and I are in wedding mode this week. We get to watch a friend tie the knot with a woman he is absolutely crazy about. The two were meant to be together and they are so perfect for each other. This is going to be one of those weddings where everybody knows everybody. There will be a bourbon happy hour before the ceremony. After the “I do’s”, the vibe already is that it’s going to be the biggest party in the world. This will be my and my wife’s seventh wedding we’re attending since we got married in 2015. It seems a bit cheesy, but I always reminisce over our wedding day whenever we attend another wedding even though I hardly remember it.
My wife and I had a lot of fun planning our wedding in Knoxville, TN. Once we were two or three days from the wedding, for some reason my brain went to complete mush. Most of her family already lived in Tennessee and all of mine were coming in from South Carolina and Ohio so I was helping wrangle them. People will often say that it’s your wedding day and everything will work out. As someone who’s job includes planning events, and who was marrying someone who’s also very experienced in event planning, it’s hard to just “let it happen.” We did and everything was fine. It was a real party once the reception really started and the DJ got to our party playlist. I expect nothing less from the wedding we’re going to this weekend.
