I will admit, I was hesitant to get on TikTok for while when I first learned about it.  A big part of that has to do with the fact that I KNOW I get easily sucked into social media (not me endlessly scrolling Facebook and Instagram).  But, I finally caved probably a year and a half ago.  I do try to limit how much time I spend, but every now and then I realize I've wasted a lot of time.

So yes, I admit... there's absolutely NO denying that I'm addicted to TikTok.  There's so many great videos.  Everything from shocking content, funny videos, educational stuff... and even just the basic, relatable stuff.  Some of my favorite videos are often the positive, uplifting, motivational type.  But I also love a good laugh, and there's plenty of that to go around on the app!

One thing that has surprised me is just how raw and real some of these people are.  They will talk about ANYTHING!  I might understand it more if it were anonymous, but these people have their faces out there.  That's something I don't ever see myself doing... But I commend those people who just tell it like it is.  Some of it is definitely relatable, but I'd never share that information about myself.

I also love seeing people overcome and succeed.  One of my favorite creators lost a bunch of weight and she's just so motivational and positive!

Now that I've been on the app for a while, and liked MANY videos, of course TikTok starts to curate the content based on that.  Which means I see a lot of videos about DOGS! And lately it's been a lot of mental health/therapy/motivational type stuff.

Side note... isn't it creepy that I'll talk to someone about something... and then open TikTok and it's a video about that same thing?  Has that happened to you?

Anyway... over time, I have definitely found some of my favorite creators.

Maybe it's because she and I loved some of the same books.  I think originally I saw her talking about her meals and workouts, but continued seeing her talk more about her personal life and what she's been through!  She has a great variety of content focused on health and wellness- meal ideas, snacks, workouts, and videos focused on mental health!

#7 @ally_yost

Although I feel like her content has evolved and changed, I first started seeing her "Hey girlypop" videos and they really spoke to me.  It was usually something I needed to hear or be reminded of in that moment.  It just feels real and honest.

#6 @brittikitty

This little girl makes me smile every time I see her on my FYP!  Just adorable, and always spreading a positive message- which of course is someone telling her what to say, but I still just LOVE it!

#5 @kerri_okie

Between the mom's "WHAT?" and the laughter from Kerri, these videos always crack me up.  Some users say she reminds them of Weezer from Steel Magnolias.  Even her "I love you" sounds like she's mad.  But you can't help but love her!

#4 @celinaspookyboo

Pretty sure this was the first video I saw from her... and I was hooked!  Her sleepwalking videos are HILARIOUS!  She also has videos of her telling her husband corny jokes. And as someone who loves corny jokes, I think she's awesome!

#3 @kristen.cook

This girl is SO relatable!  She's around my age, and definitely asks a lot of questions that I've wondered about!  As a girl who isn't SUPER girly... we need help sometimes!

#2 @thewadeempire

This guy cracks me up!  He makes a lot of videos that are office related, and you know we've all had these thoughts and feelings at a job at some point!

#1 @elysemeyers

If you don't know Elyse Meyers... where have you been?!  This girl is amazing.  It all started for me with this video about her worst first date.  100 Tacos!  The way she tells a story is incredible, plus her use of emojis and photos are ON POINT!  And she can also sing really good too!  I love that most of her videos are just real, no make up, crazy hair.  I can definitely relate to some of her awkwardness too!
