SCDOT Seeks Public Input on Six Bridge Replacements Across Five Counties
The SCDOT launched an online survey to collect feedback on six bridge replacement projects, including one in Aiken County.

The South Carolina Department of Transportation launched an online survey to collect feedback on six bridge replacement projects. These span Aiken, Bamberg, Orangeburg, Richland, and Sumter counties. It closes March 3.
Officials want residents to explain how they use these crossings and review the proposed detour routes during construction. What people say will shape preliminary designs for new crossings and guide work plans.
You can find the survey at BP24Survey.com. Six crossings need attention: S-809 (Marshall Street) over Horse Creek in Aiken County, S-33 (Ascauga Lake Road) over Gregg Canal in Aiken County, S-20 (Cannon Bridge Road) over South Edisto River in Bamberg County, S-125 (Riverside Drive) over Sunnyside Canal in Orangeburg County, S-1725 (Shorebrook Drive) over Jackson Creek in Richland County, and S-380 (Wise Drive) over Green Swamp in Sumter County.
These sit within Bridge Package 24. This bundles several replacements for quicker, more efficient completion. Inspectors found one or more components in poor condition at each site.
Every comment received gets reviewed. It becomes part of the project record. Those who submit feedback can ask for a response.
