A Meet John Daly sign is seen outside Hooters on Washington Road prior to the 2024 Masters Tournament. The restaurant closed earlier this year and has now been torn down.

The teardown ends a Masters Week ritual where John Daly parked his RV outside to sign autographs and hawk merchandise. The restaurant sat 1 mile from Augusta National Golf Club. Last year, the 58-year-old golfer earned $780,000 selling signed golf balls, shirts, and hats from his RV outside.
This location closed after dozens of other Hooters restaurants shut down. The parent company filed for bankruptcy in March 2025. A private equity firm had bought the 42-year-old chain in 2019. More than 40 locations across the country have closed in the past couple of years.
The restaurant was known for its all-female wait staff in white tank tops and orange shorts. During Masters week, lines outside would stretch far as fans waited to meet Daly and buy his products.
