A new traffic circle might change how drivers move through a busy Columbia County crossing. State road planners want to fix safety issues where Old Wrightsboro Road meets Robinson Avenue.
State officials will also block off Newmantown Road at Robinson Avenue. Poor sight lines make this spot risky for cars pulling out. The new circle would slow things down and make everyone take turns.
There will be a public meeting at Grovetown Town Hall on June 12 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. to discuss the proposed roundabout. Residents are encouraged to share their thoughts on the roundabout online through June 27. The online survey can be found here.
