The school system in Aiken County just got $300,000 to upgrade classrooms and boost teaching methods.

Classrooms will receive new equipment — from tablets to smart boards. Staff members plan to start installing these upgrades during the summer months, well before students fill the halls again.

Staff members will learn to master these new tools through detailed training sessions, making sure tech becomes a natural part of daily lessons, not just an add-on.

Aiken County officials have voiced their appreciation for the funding, highlighting its potential to enhance student achievement and strengthen ties within the community. This funding is one component of a comprehensive plan to elevate academic offerings and enrich resources district-wide.
