NEW YORK, NEW YORK – MAY 26: The JPMorgan Chase logo is seen at their headquarters building on May 26, 2023 in New York City. JPMorgan Chase chief executive Jamie Dimon is set to be deposed under oath for two civil lawsuits that claim that the bank ignored warnings that Jeffrey Epstein was trafficking teenage girls for sex while profiting from his relationship with him. The lawsuits were filed in federal court late last year by lawyers representing Epstein’s victims and the other by the government of the U.S. Virgin Islands. Epstein died by suicide three years ago while in federal custody on sex trafficking charges. The bank states that he was dropped as a client decades ago. (Photo by Michael M. Santiago/Getty Images)
The first Augusta branch of JPMorgan Chase opened at 2805 Washington Road on May 15, 2025. This new location joins the bank's 4,700-plus locations across the U.S. The bank staff cut the ribbon at their Washington Walk shopping center site grand opening at 10:30 a.m. Staff served lunch at 11:30 a.m.
"The grand opening event will feature brief remarks from company leaders regarding Chase's plans for the market, as well as a presentation by the Greenbrier High School JROTC Color Guard," the bank said in a statement to The Augusta Chronicle.
Customers will find the branch at the end of the shopping strip, next to La Michoacana Sweet Shop. While Chase runs 120 branches in Georgia, this marks its first step into Augusta's banking scene.
The opening day event featured local food trucks, free bank gifts, and tours of the new space. Chase picked this spot on Washington Walk for its first Augusta branch, putting banking services right where people live and work.
