Selena Gomez is back at it! On Wednesday, Jan. 22 she dropped a little hint on her Instagram Stories that she’s cooking up some new music. In the video, she’s hanging out in what looks like a cozy home recording studio.

The clip kicks off with Gomez rocking a white tank top and a pair of black headphones. Then she grabs her phone and flips the camera around to give a sneak peek of the setup—a desk, some speakers, and a big screen on the wall. She slapped a red heart emoji over the screen before turning the camera back to herself and raising her eyebrows. You can even catch faint music playing in the background.

This tease comes almost a year after she dropped her latest single, “Love On,” in February 2024. Before that, she released “Single Soon” in 2023 and her 2022 collab with Rema, “Calm Down,” which crushed it on the charts. It snagged a bunch of awards too, like the 2023 Billboard Music Award for top Afrobeats song and Best Afrobeats at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Gomez worked on “Single Soon” with her now-fiancé, producer Benny Blanco. The track dropped just a few months before the two confirmed they were dating in December 2023. Fast forward a year, and the couple—who started dating in June 2023—are engaged. Gomez shared the big news with a sweet Instagram post.

The singer and Blanco actually teamed up way before the romance. They worked together on the 2021 song  “I Can’t Get Enough,” which also featured Tainy and J Balvin.
