The National Weather Service has issued an updated wind advisory for Monday, January 6 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. This advisory includes Aiken, Bamberg, Barnwell, Burke, Edgefield, Emanuel, Jefferson, Lincoln, McCormick, McDuffie, Richmond, Taliaferro, Warren, Washington, and Wilkes counties.
Winds between 10 to 20 miles per hour, with gusts of 40-45 miles per hour could occur in some areas, especially the CSRA and southern Midlands.
Wind Advisory Precautions
With high winds predicted, unsecured objects, including tree limbs, may blow around, causing power outages. Take precautions and secure any outdoor objects. Also, strong winds can make driving difficult, especially in high-profile vehicles. Please use extra caution on the roadways.

Monday morning, there is a chance for light to moderate rainfall. Most of the showers are expected before noon. The high will be near 57 degrees by 8 a.m. but will fall to around 44 degrees for the remainder of the day.
Winds will continue throughout the afternoon with mostly clear skies. The low overnight will be 28 degrees. On Tuesday, it will be sunny with a high near 48 degrees and winds between 5 to 7 miles per hour.
The next chance for rain will be Friday afternoon, after clouds move in on Thursday night. Rain chances continue through Friday night. Currently, the National Weather Service shows a 40% chance of rain and snow on Saturday, with partly sunny skies and a high near 48 degrees.
