Just Thinking Of A Spider Crawling In My Ear Will Give Me Nightmares
Just thinking of a spider crawling in my ear will give me nightmares. My wife and I are pretty clean people. We have two cats and a dog so occasionally there are little fur tumbleweeds that will blow across our flows which means it’s absolutely time to vacuum and mop. We brush the animals often and make sure their coats stay nice and healthy with the right food and treats. It’s supposed to help keep them from shedding too much, but again, we have two poofy adult cats and one medium-large dog. They’re just going to shed. We even have a pet rake for the carpet. When we adopted our dog we were told that she’d never shed. We were already going to adopt her but wow we were sucked right into that “selling point.”
Keeping Things Clean
We keep our house clean on the inside and outside and that also includes scheduling an exterminator to come out and spray our house every six months. However, even they can’t stop them all. About a month ago I was watching a show and eating dinner while my wife was on a work trip. I suddenly heard a kind of scratching noise. At first, I thought it was on the movie I was watching, but when I muted it the scratching continued. I followed the sound by following my cat’s eyes. He was looking straight up at the living room light. I flipped the light switch and inside the dome of the fixture were two cockroaches! I wanted to PUKE.
My New Roommates
Once I discovered they were cockroaches I realized there wasn’t really anything I could do. The light fixture is completely flush with the ceiling and wasn’t about to attempt to take it down with a potential family of roaches loitering. They eventually crawled back into the ceiling but just knowing they are around every day makes me cringe. The next day I saw this TikTok about a woman who had to have a spider removed from her ear canal and my skin almost left my body.
Always Creeping Around
The temperatures are getting cooler which means creepy crawlers are going to be seeking warmth. They may come in through open doors, open windows, on your pets, we just don’t know. I just really don’t like thinking about something crawling around on me while I sleep. The woman in the TikTok below became physically ill when the Doctor pulled that spider out of her ear. Watch her recap her experience immediately after the procedure below. Just thinking of a spider crawling in my ear will give me nightmares.

Then she went home and Googled the spider.
