Do you have a small business in the CSRA? Take this opportunity to meet up with other small businesses in the community at Wine Wednesday.

This meet-up is happening next Wednesday, November 1, at the Pink Boutique at 2569 Central Avenue. The Pink Boutique is a local small business in Augusta that sells women's apparel & accessories, home décor & antiques, and currently, they have their fall sales happening! The event will go on from 5 pm to 8 pm.

At this small business meet-up, you will get the opportunity to present your “ elevator pitch” for your small business. When having a business or brand, this is a key element to learn and have the "speech" on the ready when it comes to any type of networking.

What is an elevator pitch?

An elevator pitch is a clear, brief way of introducing yourself along with up to two key points to say when making a connection with someone. In this case, this elevator pitch would introduce yourself, your business, and then a brief outline of your product or service. About 30 seconds – 60 seconds is the period that your elevator pitch should last.

It is called an elevator pitch because imagine if you ran into somebody super important in the elevator that could change the trajectory of your life or be an asset to your business. Well, this short, less than one-minute elevator ride is all you’ve got. So then you have to determine who you are and what's the most important thing to share at the moment.

More About The Small Business Meet-Up

Don’t forget your business cards! The small business meet-up will also give you the chance to include your product in a raffle drawing to promote your business.

There will also be wine and dinner catered by Toaste of Augusta and a local business located in Downtown Augusta.
