A Halloween Display Has One Town Talking But Not Because It’s Scary
A Halloween display has one town talking but not because it’s scary. I love how more and more people are embracing Halloween and “Spooky Season.” When I would trick-or-treating as a kid in the ’90s, I was weary of the houses with fog machines and strobe lights on their front porch. My friends and I would get up the courage to walk up to those houses knowing something was about to jump out and scare us. It always ended up being so much fun and usually, those houses had the best candy. Fast forward to today and the Halloween decorations come out for purchase as soon as September hits. It’s hard to walk into any hardware store chain and not want to drop a few hundred dollars on a 12-foot skeleton or an 8-foot Jack-o’-Lantern. People are also getting more and more creative with their decorations.
A Controversial Halloween Display
Sometimes a person’s costume can be too “revealing” and cause a bit of controversy. In this case, it was a Utah man’s Halloween decoration display and residents in his neighborhood aren’t too happy about it. You can see how the scene is set in the tweet below and while this could be a little too much for some people, it’s pretty creative.
Meant To Be Funny
The resident behind the display that the town is talking about is Christopher Fujishin. He explains that it’s all in good fun and not meant to upset people. Some residents disagree saying it’s disrespectful and shouldn’t be seen by children. While I love the thought of trying to create a funny Halloween display, I can understand how it might be a bit much for some people to handle. Maybe he could tweak it and make it an interactive experience. He could create a spooky club entrance in the front yard that says “21 and up only” and use this same display in the backyard.
