The first Wednesday of every October is recognized as National Coffee with a Cop Day.

National Coffee with a Cop Day, October 4 of this year, is a day to encourage communication and positive interaction between law enforcement agencies and the public.

The day came about from the thought of officers loving their coffee shop donuts.

Many cities in the nation will hold events to recognize this day. Some places host these events throughout the year.

Celebrate this day in Augusta by sharing a FREE cup of coffee with Richmond County Marshals.

You will have two opportunities to chat with Richmond County Marshals on October 4.

Location one is Starbucks 273 Bobby Jones Expressway 12 pm – 2 pm.

Location two will be at another Starbucks location 3120 Peach Orchard Rd 5 pm – 7 pm.


The purpose of the event is to start conversations, ask questions, voice concerns, and build community.

Evans, Ga will also be participating in the national day.

You will have the opportunity to sit with the the Evans County Sheriff's Office 9 -11am at Mcdonalds, on 4264 Washington Rd.

The first National Coffee with a Cop Day idea came about in Hawthorne, California in 2011. It became a nationwide celebration in 2016.
