Temporary Lane Closures in Columbia County Through August – Here’s What to Know
Throughout the remaining month of August, Columbia County road closures will be taking place in frequent areas. Here are a few throughout the community to beware of.
Columbia County, in cooperation with Southern Asphalt, LLC announced a temporary lane closure for County Line Road. Because of paving, the lane closures will be from Sawdust Road to E White Oak Road in various locations. The lane closure will be from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, August 10, 2023, thru Thursday, September 21, 2023.
Other lane closures throughout the month of August:
There will be temporary lane closures with lane shifts on Warrior Way. Due to the installation of utilities, the temporary lane closures will be from 9:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. starting Tuesday, August 15, 2023, through Wednesday, August 16, 2023. Weather permitting.
Temporary lane closures on Furys Ferry Road are also underway. The lane closures will be between Evans to Locks Road and Blackstone Camp Road from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 09, 2023, thru Friday, August 11, 2023.
The temporary lane closure is associated with the roadway-widening project for Fury Ferry Road.
For all lane closures, expect delays. If possible the county ask that drivers take another route or allow additional time when commuting.
