Teens Set Off Fireworks In South Georgia Walmart
A South Georgia Walmart was evacuated after teens set off fireworks inside the store. And now, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the five teens believed to be involved.
According to WALB, the fireworks were set off in a Walmart on Ledo Road in Leesburg, Georgia. The sheriff’s office reviewed surveillance footage where all-male teenagers were seen lighting the fireworks before fleeing to the Chili’s restaurant nearby.
Some of the fireworks went airborne into the store. When smoke started filling the store, shoppers were asked to evacuate the building.
The Walmart employees and law enforcement will be reviewing the surveillance footage to try to identify the teens responsible.
The store was able to reopen shortly after.
