On Wednesday night (June 21), nearly 100 fans were injured by “golf-ball sized” hail and 50-mile-per-hour winds, CNN reports. At least seven people were transported to area hospitals with “non-life-threatening” injuries. Nearly 90 people were treated at the venue for cuts and broken bones. One fan told the news outlet that she managed to hide near a drink station and used her backpack to protect herself and another girl.
Warning Concertgoers
The National Weather Service office in nearby Boulder issued a severe thunderstorm warning on Twitter for the areas at around 9 p.m. They noted the venue would be affected. Earlier in the day, the weather service warned, “We are still in the ‘loaded gun’ scenario of having tremendous instability.” The show was postponed twice during the storm. The venue first instructed fans to shelter in their cars before giving an "all clear" that brought fans back to the venue, only to postpone the show and tell fans to go home.
Tomlinson Addresses The Devastation
Tomlinson tweeted late into the night, “Devastated about the show tonight, hope everyone’s ok, I’ll be back! Even though we didn’t play the show I felt all of your passion! Sending you all love!” Meanwhile, musician Andrew Cushin, who is supporting Tomlinson's tour with The Snuts, took to Twitter today as well. He wrote: "Truly bittersweet last night. It was an honour and privilege to have played Red Rocks but also devastated for the main man @Louis_Tomlinson and the boys @TheSnuts. Last night went from 0 to 100 within 30 minutes and I truly everyone is okay this morning."

Praying for everyone who was there tonight. i have bruises and welts all over my back and legs. had to empty out boxes of shirts at the merch stand to be cover our heads."
