Hailey Bieber has been feeling “fragile” this year, opening up on social media about her struggles. Bieber, 26, took to her Instagram Stories this week to share how she copes with having a “hard time.”
The model wrote on Wednesday (April 19): “I like to make jokes about how I feel because sometimes it’s easier than admitting I’m having a hard time. But truthfully since 2023 started I have had some of the saddest, hardest moments I’ve ever had in my adult life and my mind and emotions have been fragile to say the least.. And I know so many other people feel the same way I feel, so just know you’re not alone.”
Her reference to the jokes comes from her previous story post, which featured an animated cat dancing to SZA’s “Big Boy.” Under the clip, the model added, “This is how my mental state feels after the last month and a half.”

Hailey continued her Story by telling her 49.5 million followers to”keep being there for one another. Let’s be there for loved ones and friends and family and strangers. Let’s just be there for people.. let’s keep showing up for each other even when it’s hard. We’re better together.”
It seems as though Hailey’s post references the backlash she’s received from Selena Gomez’s fans. Last month, Gomez told her fans to stop the “hate” towards her amid the pair’s alleged social media drama. As Gomez said at the time, Hailey told her she has been receiving “death threats and such hateful negativity. This isn’t what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I’ve always advocated for kindness and really want this to all stop.”
Also yesterday, Bieber was joined by her best friend Kendall Jenner for her “what’s in my kitchen?” segment on YouTube. They enjoyed the model’s passionfruit spritz cocktails, along with Kendall’s “twist on Kris Jenner’s famous layered dip.” Kendall’s knifework improved much more since the last time we saw her cut something on camera.
