A Twitter troll attempted to body shame Lizzo earlier this week with a nude picture the singer shared on Instagram in 2021. Lizzo, who celebrates her 35th birthday later this month, posted the nude as part of a self-esteem social media campaign.
Twitter user @CassyWearsHeels posted a side-by-side photo of herself beside Lizzo’s on Tuesday (April 11). She asked in the since-deleted tweet, “Me or Lizzo?” Appearing to backfire, many fans rallied to support the singer as they simply responded with her name instead of Cassy’s.
One fan replied, “you’ve chosen a bright unedited nude photo of lizzo and a dark blurry hard to see photo of yourself, and people are still choosing lizzo. Absolute loser areas cassandra.” Another fan commented, “i am lolling because this woman clearly deliberately tried to find the ‘worst’ photo of lizzo and it’s this lmao.” One person said, “This lady really thought she was stacking the deck against Lizzo with an unedited nude photo…”
It seemed that Lizzo cast her vote, simply tweeting her name while the drama unfolded.
Lizzo.

Hilariously, this prompted a slew of brands to tweet their own names out. Noodles & Company: “Noodles,” Kikkoman USA, “Soy Sauce,” Got Milk, “Milk,” and so on. Even mascots and other figures chimed in, like Elmo, PAC-MAN, Minions, and more hopped on the bandwagon.
This isn’t the first time Lizzo has posed nude online. Last February, the “About Damn Time” singer posted a series of naked pictures of herself speaking of self-love.
In one video, she wrote, “If you love me… you love all of me. You don’t get to pick and choose. We should be unconditionally loving of one another, starting with being unconditionally loving to ourselves. Take a moment today and think about the conditions we hold so tightly to that keep us from the freedom of true love. Do you really wanna be so tightly wound? Free yourself in love. You deserve it.”
