Easter Eggs Are Being Replaced
Easter eggs are being replaced by potatoes. At least that’s the trend right now. Egg prices are still unbelievably high. This year instead of wasting a carton of eggs on fun Easter activities for the kids, parents are choosing to paint and introduce something different to hide and hunt for. Imagine, you’re walking around your house or church. You can tell there’s something hiding in the bush. It’s brightly colored so you reach in to pull it out. That’s when you discover that it’s an Easter Potato. Not really much you can hide in an Easter potato either.
Potatoes, however, are the much cheaper alternative right now. Potatoes USA has really been hyping this up. They’re especially encouraging people to dye their potatoes like they would eggs. Some people are actually using edible paint and water-based food-food coloring so they can eat the potatoes for Easter dinner. Check out the photos here and read more here.
