Grocery Store Checkout Has Gone Viral
The grocery store checkout has gone viral. What’s your process when you’ve reached the end of your list and you head to checkout? My wife always immediately suggests we go to self-checkout but usually we have a lot of items to scan. The bagging area at a self-scan is way too small to hold $150.00 worth of groceries. The machine definitely doesn’t like when you try to place the full bags in your cart to make more room. It stresses me out! Most of the time we quickly eye the number of people in line and what their grocery hull looks like in hopes to pick the shortest line. When it’s time to unload your groceries, do you use the divider that separates your groceries and the customers’ groceries in front of you? Do you lay it horizontally or vertically? The grocery store checkout has gone viral because there’s a theory that most of us have been using the divider wrong. If we place it vertically, it separates our groceries from the customers even more which helps avoid even the slightest bit of confusion for the cashier. It just helps keep that line moving which is what we all want. Check out the “Right” and “Wrong” ways below!
