Kevin Jonas expressed his love for the New York Giants in a recent interview. The oldest Jonas brother explained to Fox News that he and his brothers were “really happy with the team this year.”
“We are Giants fans,” Jonas said of his famous family. “I think they surprised everybody. [Quarterback] Danny Dimes [Jones] just did his thing and of course, our boy [Running back] Saquon [Barkley]. It was great.”
They’re long time fans. Back in 2008 the team made the playoffs as underdogs when they took on the undefeated New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII. The New Jersey native said the Jonas Brothers had a concert that day but made sure to schedule it early so they could get a chance to watch the Giants deliver the Patriots one giant loss. He added that was when his now wife, Danielle, knew the Giants meant a lot to him.
“One of our favorite memories is that Super Bowl, you know the infamous catch on the helmet,” Kevin said. “We had a concert that night in California and we had a show and we moved the time of the show to make it a matinée on Super Bowl Sunday so we can watch the game because of the Giants. And we turned our stage into screens and we had it as our football set up. So it was great. I think in that moment she knew how important it was to us.”
Super Bowl LVII will take place on February 12 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. As we’ve earlier reported, Rihanna will be headlining this year’s halftime performance. She confirmed the news back in September.
Meanwhile, the Jonas Brothers recently announced their upcoming studio album, simply titled: THE ALBUM. New music from the group drops on May 5. Their previously released project, Happiness Begins, was the pop band’s return to music in 2019 after six years.
