Meet Today’s Wet Nose Wednesday Pup: Ruby!
Get To Know Me:
Hi, I’m Ruby! I’m a 10 year old possible yorkie mix and I weigh around 12 pounds. I came into rescue when they realized I was having some issues coordinating my back legs at times. It didn’t seem to slow me down or cause me any discomfort but my dna family knew I needed to be seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible. My vet believes I could have the beginning stages of Spinal stenosis. After receiving a steroid shot and medication, I was like a brand new pup again. This is something my new family will have to consider for my future but please don’t let that scare you off. I have so much love to give! The veterinarian sees no issues at all to hold me back from starting my next chapter with my furever family.
My Perfect Fur-Ever Home:
My ideal home would be a laid back family, who just enjoys living in the moment. This world is so fast paced, it’s kinda nice to sit back with your best friend and soak up your surroundings. I’m very affectionate and loyal, I’m always by your side. You can find me curled up in my favorite dog bed, taking naps is a huge part of my day. I have to rest up to give you all my attention and kisses.
I’m dog, cat and kid friendly… as long as they aren’t to rowdy with me so maybe no puppies or smaller kids. A low energy family, like myself would be perfect. You would need to be very careful not to let me jump off chairs, the sofa or beds. Having a family who can give me that extra attention is key.
I walk great on leash and enjoy car rides… I’m always willing to follow my favorite people wherever life may take us. I do great outside of my crate and I’m doing pretty good with house training. I may have a few accidents here or there but nothing to major that consistency wouldn’t help. I’m a really smart girl so I learn quickly.
If you have any questions about me please just let my DNA family know. They would be happy to help!
