Selena Gomez will make her Saturday Night Live hosting debut on May 14, along with rapper Post Malone as the musical guest.
As we earlier reported, the Grammy-nominated singer, rapper and songwriter will release his fourth studio album, Twelve Carat Toothache on June 3.
The New York native said that the upcoming album will have features from Doja Cat, Roddy Ricch, and Robin Pecknold of Fleet Foxes. He said the new tracks will “speak more to how [he’s] feeling at the moment: the ups and downs and the disarray and the bipolar aspect of being an artist in the mainstream.”
Twelve Carat Toothache will also have Post’s The Weeknd collaboration “One Right Now” which was released last year and will serve as the lead single for the album.
Post Malone, real name Austin Richard Post, recently revealed he is expecting his first child with his longtime girlfriend. “I’m excited for this next chapter in my life, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, and for since I could remember I was sad,” he told gossip website TMZ about the baby news. “Time to take care of my body and my family and friends, and spread as much love as we can every day.”
A source told the outlet that he and his longtime girlfriend who chooses to stay out of the spotlight celebrated the news with a private party for friends and family in Southern California over the weekend.
Gomez, meanwhile, is starring in the second season of Hulu’s Only Murders In The Building.
The season finale of Saturday Night Live will follow Gomez and Malone’s episode on May 21; SNL has not announced the host or musical guest yet.
This week, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness star Benedict Cumberbatch will host for the second time with Arcade Fire as the musical guest.
