CSRA News: Flags to Fly at Half-Staff in South Carolina
South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster has ordered flags to fly at half-staff today at the state house and on state buildings in honor of a Cayce, South Carolina police officer killed in the line of duty Sunday morning.
A memorial service for 27 year old Drew Barr will be held this afternoon at Batesburg-Leesville High School. Barr was killed Sunday while he and other officers were called to the scene of a domestic disturbance in Cayce.
The suspect shot and killed Barr, then turned the gun on himself after a 7-hour standoff with authorities.
Thanks to Mary Liz Nolan of WGAC for the story.
