Meet Today’s Wet Nose Wednesday Pup: Minnie!
Get To Know Me:
Hi, I’m Minnie! I’m a 3 to 4 year old Shih Tzu and I weigh around 10 pounds. I came into rescue as a neglect case. I was so matted, I could barely walk and extremely underweight. It took the vets and groomers over 3 times to get all the matting cut away.
My Perfect Fur-Ever Home:
Now that I’m ready for adoption, my ideal home would be an active one but also a family who enjoys being at home with me. I get very attached to my people and I’ll follow you around like a little shadow. My foster mom says I’m one affectionate girl, I will soak up all your attention or steal a spot on your lap. No need to look for love.. I have enough to go around.
I can be shy at first but I warmup quickly. I just need a family willing to give me time to adjust. I do great around other dogs and cats, I honestly really do prefer to be in a home with another dog, maybe more my size. Kids are terrific as long as they are on the older side.. I still love lots of playtime and I will play bite at times. I’m learning that’s not ok to do but that’s my puppy side shining through. If your not careful I still like to chew on things around the house also. It’s best having some chew toys around or some toys for me to play with.
A fenced in yard would be best, I could see me getting scared and trying to run away if something spooked me. I’m still a young pup so having a place to run around would be pawsome also. I’m house trained but I will not tell you when I’m ready to go outside. It’s best to take me out after a few hours just to help with consistency or having a schedule.
Please remember with a pup like myself I will need regular grooming and brushing… it takes a lot of work to be this adorable. Who wouldn’t wanna spoil me rotten?
