CSRA News: Weather for the Weekend in Augusta
Forecasters say as much as 4 inches of snow is possible in northeastern Mississippi and northern Alabama overnight tonight into Saturday as temperatures plunge and storms cross over the region.
The Augusta area will reach its high temperature of the day Saturday in the morning. The high is expected to reach 55, then temperatures will fall into the 40’s in the afternoon. By Saturday night, the mercury is expected to dip to 26 degrees, with a hard freeze.
Wintry precipitation could pose a travel hazard as far south as a line from northern Louisiana to northwest Georgia.
