CSRA News: South Carolina Records Another Earthquake
South Carolina recorded its 20th earthquake since the end of December on Wednesday.
The 2.2 magnitude quake was centered four miles east-southeast of Elgin late yesterday morning. Fourteen of the 20 quakes have been recorded in the Palmetto state since the beginning of the year. U.S. Geological Survey officials say it’s normal for the state to record anywhere from six to 10 earthquakes in a year.
