CSRA News: SRP Park Hosts Inaugural HBCU Baseball Classic

SRP Park announced today that it will be hosting the inaugural HBCU Baseball Classic on Sunday, March 20th.

Game One is set for 1:05 p.m. with gates opening at 12:30 p.m.  Game One will feature the NCAA Division II’s SIAC Conference: Kentucky State University versus Benedict College.

Game Two is set for 4:05 p.m. with Paine College battling against Florida National University (Continental Athletic Conference).

Greenjackets General Manager, Brandon Greene says, ” We are extremely excited to host the Inaugural HBCU Baseball Classic at SRP Park.”

Tickets are available for purchase now on the Greenjackets website.

Lower Bowl Tickets are $7 each and a portion goes to Paine College Baseball Program.  Kids 12 and under are encouraged to wear their uniforms from their local teams.  Kids wearing their uniforms will have free access to the Augusta University Health Kids Zone during the game.

“Cody” Blaine Jackson is one half of the Kicks Wake Up Krew on Kicks 99, and also serves as the Digital Program Director for Beasley Media Group in Augusta. She’s a Georgia native but currently resides just across the river in South Carolina. She started in the radio industry as a part-time board operator, and moved up through various roles, including on-air positions and program director for multiple stations.
