More Richmond County Schools Transition To Virtual

In addition to the schools we shared yesterday, five more schools in the Richmond County School System have transitioned to Learn@Home.

Again, due to increased COVID-19 related staff absences, the following schools will be using the Learn@Home model:

  • A. Brian Merry
  • Barton Chapel
  • Diamond Lakes
  • Monte Sano
  • Terrace Manor

The elementary schools will be using virtual learning Monday, January 10 through Wednesday, January 12. They are set to return to in-person learning on Thursday, January 13.

Richmond County School System is committed to ensuring the safety of their students, teachers and staff.

Meals are available for pickup from the side entrance of the school cafeteria Monday through Wednesday from 8am-2pm.

RCSS will continue to follow guidance from public health officials to ensure current recommendations are followed to clean and disinfect the school facilities.

“Cody” Blaine Jackson is one half of the Kicks Wake Up Krew on Kicks 99, and also serves as the Digital Program Director for Beasley Media Group in Augusta. She’s a Georgia native but currently resides just across the river in South Carolina. She started in the radio industry as a part-time board operator, and moved up through various roles, including on-air positions and program director for multiple stations.
