Halsey just dropped a film trailer for her upcoming album -- surely one of the most anticipated albums of the year If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power yesterday (July 13).

"This film is about the lifelong social labyrinth of sexuality and birth," the opening screen reads. "The greatest horror stories never told were buried with the bodies of those who died in that labyrinth."

We first see a crying Halsey running down a Renaissance-era palace hallway. The film trailer maintains a blue-toned hue, adding to the suspense and morbid theme. Eerily cut scenes, violence, blood and nudity are scattered throughout the video, making for quite an interesting film. Shot in IMAX, you can watch the hour-long film, which was written by Halsey, in theaters this August.

If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power is set for release August 27, produced by Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. As we previously reported, the duo have previously worked on the award-winning original score for Disney’s 2020 Soul and 2010’s The Social Network.
