Blake Shelton will now join a list of performers including Reba McEntire and the Jonas Brothers, to perform during this year’s Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular on Sunday, July 4th.

Yesterday (7/1), we reported that Blake and Gwen Stefani got their marriage license in Oklahoma and there was strong speculation thanks to a TMZ report that they will get married this weekend.

So what gives? Is Shelton trying to get the media off the scent of his pending nuptials or is his performance on the 4th Of July Special taped? We'll likely find out this weekend.

Blake posted to Twitter on June 28, "I’ve got my 4th of July plans covered!!!!! How ‘bout y’all? Join me for the #MacysFireworks Spectacular on July 4 at 8/7c on
@NBC."

The NBC special, which will also feature performances by the Black Pumas, Coldplay, and One Republic, among others, will air Sunday, July 4th from 8-10 pm ET with an hour-long encore presentation at 10 pm ET.
