I remember like it was yesterday, I was upstairs doing homework on a chilly October evening. I suddenly heard a loud engine come up our driveway and didn't recognize it. I could tell from the brake lights it was an old Jeep so I figured someone was visiting. That's when I head my Dad walk into the house. I didn't really think too much of it as I went back to wrapping up my homework. I heard he and my Mom talking in the kitchen so I went downstairs to see what was up, and he tossed me keys. On the key ring was a key to my Mom's car, a key to my Dad's truck and a key to a Jeep Wrangler which was sitting in the driveway. While I technically couldn't drive yet, it would eventually become my car to drive all throughout high school. I was very appreciative and grateful. After all, I could've gotten surprised with a hearse like this Mom did to her teen.
