Jeopardy! has announced that Ken Jennings will step in to guest-host the show after Alex Trebek’s final episodes air.

They wrote on Twitter, “We will resume production on 11/30 with a series of interim guest hosts from the Jeopardy! family – starting with Ken Jennings. Additional guest hosts to be announced.”

They also released a statement from the show’s executive producer. It reads, “Alex believed in the importance of Jeopardy! and always said that he wanted the show to go on after him. We will honor his legacy by continuing to produce the game he loved.”

Ken Jennings replied to the announcement and said, “There will only ever be one Alex Trebek, but I’m honored to be helping Jeopardy! out with this in January.”

Many have been speculating over who would replace Alex, and Ken Jennings is a name that keeps getting brought up. He would be a fitting replacement as he holds the 74-game winning streak record for the show. Ken also took home a record $2.52 million in regular-season play, and earlier this year, he won the Greatest of All Time Jeopardy! tournament.
