Michigan Deputy Fired For Making A Kamala Harris Watermelon Jack O’Lantern For Halloween

A Detroit Michigan sheriff's deputy has been fired for a racist post on her personal Facebook page. In it, she shows the pumpkins she carved for Halloween with the names Trump, Biden, and Pence. She then indicted that she carved a watermelon instead of a pumpkin for Kamala Harris.

Per the New York Post, the sheriff was Oakland Country deputy Sherry Prose. She was fired immediately once officials got wind of the post.

In a statement about the incident, Undersheriff Michael McGabe said, "We are outraged by this former employee's actions and condemn the behavior she chose to engage in. These types of incidents are disgusting and will never be tolerated or pushed aside at the sheriff's office. Behavior such as this brings tarnish to the badge and is not representative [of] all those in law enforcement who protest and serve."

Sherry Prose also made a statement, and in it, she takes no accountability for what she did. She wrote, "I worked hard in my law enforcement career and I am proud of the reputation I earned in my 30 plus years of service. I am not racist and never will be."
