NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA - JULY 05: Ashanti reacts during SiriusXM's Radio Andy Channel Broadcast from Essence Festival at Ernest N. Morial Convention Center on July 05, 2019 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

As we previously reported, on Wednesday (July 22), during DMX and Snoop Dogg’s highly-viewed Verzuz battle Keyshia Cole invited Ashanti to go head to head with her in a Verzuz battle. “Ashanti [what’s] good?” Keyshia Cole simply asked Ashanti in the comment section of DMX and Snoop Dogg’s battle, and now Ashanti has responded.

Apparently, Ashanti is down to do the battle. She responded to Keyshia Cole in the comment section, writing, “[Keyshia Cole] what upppppp.” The “Foolish” singer also discussed the possibility with her good friend and collaborator Fat Joe.

Ashanti and Fat Joe discussed the situation via Instagram Live. “Keyshia Cole, would that be a great one?” Fat Joe asked Ashanti. “Listen, if they want to see it. I ain’t mad,” Ashanti replied before Fat Joe said, “Ooooooooooo,” and chuckled.

“I love it!” Fat Joe said before also sharing that he wouldn’t do it because he’s a bad loser and he’s also the worst winner.

As we also previously reported, Mya recently stated that she’s open to doing a Verzuz battle. During an interview with BBC Sounds, the “All About Me” singer said, “I’m always open. Especially now, shows and touring has been canceled until 2021.”

“I watched quite a few Verzuz battles and it doesn’t feel like a battle at all, more like a friendly artist camaraderie and respect. I think it’s genius. Very entertaining, people are very excited about culture coming together, especially now. So, I’m totally down,” Mya continued.

It’s currently uncertain what two artists are up next against each other in the highly lauded battle series, which now is streaming on Apple Music in addition to Instagram. Fans will just have to stay tuned.
