As we previously reported, actress and singer Ja’Net Dubois passed on Tuesday (Feb. 19) in her home in Glendale, California.

Janet Jackson, who starred on Good Times along with Dubois took to Instagram to share a tribute to the late Emmy Award-winning actress.

Jackson shared three photos of herself with Dubois who also starred in films such as I’m Gonna Git You Sucka, Tropic Thunder, and Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle. 

“I am so very saddened to hear my longtime friend Ja’Net DuBois has passed away. I saw first hand how she broke stereotypes and changed the landscape for Black women in entertainment,” Jackson wrote in her caption.

“I’m grateful in recent years I had a chance to see her and create more lasting memories. I pray for comfort for all her family and friends. Thank you Ja’Net, I’ll miss you.”
