Taylor Swift attended Billboard’s Women in Music event to accept her ‘Woman of the Decade’ Award and gave a powerful, heartfelt speech that (in Taylor fashion) contained not-so-subtle shade!
The premise of her speech was certainly to thank her fans and colleagues and to celebrate music! But she took the opportunity to delve deeper into the problems that lie within Private Equity and those in control of artist’s life’s work. Along with thanking her fellow women in the music industry, Taylor got extremely candid about what she faced losing her entire catalogue to her industry enemy… and was not shy about calling it out.
