Netflix has announced its films that will be premiering at Sundance next year, and Taylor Swift’s new documentary is on the list. The streaming company describes Taylor Swift: Miss Americana as ” A raw and emotionally revealing look at one of the most iconic artists of our time as she learns to embrace her role not only as a songwriter and performer, but as a woman harnessing the full power of her voice.”

Taylor Swift alluded to her documentary a few weeks ago when she publicly addressed her incident with Scooter Braun and her former label Big Machine before the American Music Awards. At the time, she wrote, “Additionally – and this isn’t the way I planned on telling you this news – Netflix has created a documentary about my life for the past few years. Scott [Borchetta, Big Machine CEO] and Scooter have declined the use of my older music or performance footage for this project, even though there is no mention of either them or Big Machine Records anywhere in the film.”

Sundance 2020 begins on January 23.
