After heavy backlash upon the release of the original trailer, a new trailer for Sonic The Hedgehog has been released, and thankfully, Sonic actually looks like Sonic.

The film based on the popular Sega character was originally set for release this month, but due to the redesign, the film’s release date is set for February 14, 2020.

Per Paramount, the film “tells the story of the world’s speediest hedgehog as he embraces his new home on Earth. In this live-action adventure comedy, Sonic and his new best friend Tom (James Marsden) team up to defend the planet from the evil genius Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) and his plans for world domination.”

Sonic is voiced by Ben Schwartz, which as far as casting goes is far from the worst, to paraphrase Jean-Ralphio.
