We had the opportunity to sit down with Founder and Race Director of the Jingle Jam 10k and learn about the race and its amazing cause!
Goldie was nice enough to sit down with me and talk about their Ninth Jingle Jam 10k! The intention behind the race hits particularly close to home for Goldie as all proceeds benefit Safe Homes Domestic Violence Center. She opened up about her past struggles as a victim of domestic violence and why this organization means so much to her.
Shockingly, 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have experienced physical violence by an intimate partner. The goal of Jingle Jam is to not only provide funds to support Safe Homes, but to also raise awareness about domestic violence. This 6.2 mile run does just that while bringing the community together in a fun way!
The race kicks off December 7th but sign-ups have already begun! You can register to participate at jinglejam10k.com, in person at one of their pop-up events that you’ll find on their events page, as well as their social media @jinglejam10k. All proceeds will be donated to Safe Homes and you can find additional information about them and the amazing work they do on socials @safehomesdv or at safehomesdv.org.
See the full interview with Founder and Race Director, Goldie, below! Help raise money and awareness for domestic violence while joining in on the fun by signing up for the 9th annual Jingle Jam 10k!
