On Sunday, during the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys game, the camera caught George Bush and Ellen Degeneres sitting next to each other.
Since the photo circulated all over the internet, Ellen discussed the experience on her show. She said, “People were upset. Why was a gay, Hollywood liberal sitting next to a conservative, Republican president?”
She then shared a tweet that a fan wrote that said, “Ellen and George Bush together makes me have faith in America again.”
Ellen goes even further by saying, “We’re all different, and I think that we’ve all forgotten that it’s okay that we are all different. Just because I don’t agree with someone on everything doesn’t mean that I’m not going to be friends with them. When I say ‘be kind to one another,’ I don’t mean only the people that think the same way that you do. I mean, be kind to everyone.”
