The streaming platform tweeted a clip of the video congratulating on Smith on the milestone. Smith retweeted it and then posted a video thanking fans for their support.
On the post, they wrote, "Over 1 billion views on Stay with Me on @Youtube. This song will always have a very special place in my heart, and to cross one billion streams and then a billion views in one week is incredible!! Thank you."
In the video, Smith reflects on what the song is about. They also talk about the director of the video, Jamie Thraves, and how he was able to perfectly work with and get the vision of the video for the singer.
