When a troll came for Miley Cyrus following news of her split from Liam Hemsworth, Halsey wasn’t having it. Specifically, Halsey wasn’t interested in people blaming bisexuality for the end of Cyrus’s marriage to Hemsworth after six months.

Over the weekend, Cyrus and Hemsworth announced their split with a statement from their reps. “Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals,” it read, “they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers.” Shortly after this news broke, Cyrus was spotted kissing Kaitlynn Carter, who just split from her husband Brody Jenner.

#MileyCyrus splitting and allegedly cheating on Liam with a woman confirms that you shouldn’t date bi people,” a Twitter user named @theTigerBob wrote. “Not offensive, just true. Bi is greedy and never satisfied.”

To that, Halsey, who is openly bisexual, had something to say. “Hey tigerbob,” she wrote. “Doesn’t surprise me that ur saying this and ur page has u crying about Brie Larson too! Stop being afraid of women who aren’t afraid to do what pleases them and not other people.”

Cyrus has not come out as bisexual, but in a recent interview with Elle she talked about how “confusing” her marriage is to people. “I’m in a hetero relationship, but I still am very sexually attracted to women,” Cyrus said last month. “People become vegetarian for health reasons, but bacon is still f*cking good, and I know that. I made a partner decision. This is the person I feel has my back the most. I definitely don’t fit into a stereotypical wife role. I don’t even like that word.”
