Bow Wow is currently receiving backlash for disrespecting his ex-girlfriend Ciara.

It’s been over a decade since their relationship ended but during a recent club performance at Atlanta’s Elleven45 Lounge, the rapper made a disrespectful comment about Ci Ci when their 2005 collaboration single “Like You” was played.

The rapper and reality TV star began rapping over the track, and then he decided to add some commentary.”I had this b**ch first,” Bow Wow said of Ciara who is now married to NFL star Russell Wilson. “You know that right?”

Bow Wow’s comment that was caught on video caused the rapper to receive backlash from several social media users. “Ciara has these men shook. If it’s not Future, it’s Bow Wow displaying stupidity,” one social media user wrote.

“Bow Wow Called Ciara a b**ch & said he had her first…the level of corny is just so sad bro,” another social media user wrote on Twitter (check out some of the comments below).

Bow Wow, 32, revealed on the last season of Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta that parting ways with Ciara was one of his biggest regrets. The former pair dated for two years, from 2004 until 2006.

The rapper’s ex-fiance, Erica Mena, who is now engaged to Safaree Samuels, recently claimed that Bow Wow was physically abusive to both her and Ciara during their relationships. “I’m the tough girl so my story was never the truth but y’all see how round 4 played out. He broke Ciara finger years ago, so this been going on,” Mena wrote, referencing Bow Wow’s alleged physical abuse towards his now-ex-girlfriend, Kiyomi Leslie who he appeared on Growing Up Hip Hop with.
