Cardi B says she’s going to be her “old self again.”

Over the weekend, the Bronx rapper responded to a fan on Twitter, who said, “I love you ALOT but I don’t agree with the messages you’ve been sending us young girls. So many of us look at you as a role model and that should send a very loud message.”

Cardi B retweeted the fan and responded by saying that for the past two years she’s been watching what she says and she hasn’t been herself.

“I been feeling trap and sad cause it’s not ME but everybody tell me to be it for me to be this “rolemodel” and guess what? People still spit my past right in my face so for now imma be my old self again.”

Today (Apr. 8), the “Money” rapper took to Twitter to announce that her debut album, Invasion of Privacy is officially certified three times platinum.

Saturday (Apr. 6) Cardi B’s debut album celebrated its one-year anniversary.
