‘Smallville’ Actress Allison Mack Pleads Guilty in Sex Trafficking Cult Case

Former Smallville actress Allison Mack has pleaded guilty to racketeering charges in a massive sex trafficking case involving an alleged secret Hollywood cult.
Mack, 36, was a member of a secret sex “cult” that was a part of marketing company NXIVM, Us Magazine reports. She entered into her plea Monday after being indicted on multiple counts of sex-trafficking, sex-trafficking conspiracy and conspiracy to commit forced labor.
The former TV actress is accused of recruiting women for the cult to have sex with the group leader, Keith Raniere, according to the Associated Press.
Authorities say the women were branded with what appeared to be Raniere’s initials, the AP reports. Mack has previously said the group was about “self-discipline and self-empowerment and she likened the branding to getting a tattoo, but cooler,” according to the AP.
Mack appeared on the show Smallville from 2001-2011, playing the role of Chloe Sullivan. She’s also appeared on the FX show Wilfred and in the film Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves.
She has previously pleaded not guilty to the charges.
