Lady Gaga decked out in a rhinestone cat suit and high boots, sang her Grammy nominated Record of the Year “Shallow” from her Oscar nominated movie A Star Is Born.

Normally a duet with actor Bradley Cooper in the movie,  Gaga had to perform the song solo, as Cooper was in England attending the BAFTA Awards. Instead of getting a replacement duet partner, Gaga sang it alone, accompanied by a bombastic rock backing. Instead of being a confessional country song, it became an in-your-face rock anthem.

She said in part when she won earlier in the night, “Bradley, I loved singing this song with you. I was so proud to be part of a movie that addresses mental health issues. A lot of artists deal with that, we gotta take care of that, if you see someone that’s hurting don’t walk away.”

Lady Gaga also won a Grammy in the Premiere Ceremony for Best Song Written for Visual Media also for “Shallow” and for Best Pop Solo Performance for “Joanne Where Do You Think You’re Going?”
