Tracy Chapman thinks Nicki Minaj has some explainin' to do.

According to Variety, Chapman and Minaj will see each other in court after Tracy filed a lawsuit against Nicki.

Apparently, Minaj's team reached out to Chapman a couple of months ago regarding the use of some of the lyrics and melody in “Baby Can I Hold You.”

The request was denied, as Tracy doesn't even consider sample requests, however, Minaj cut 'Sorry' anyway, and used most of the lyrics from Chapman's song in the chorus of her new song.

Minaj fans may recall that 'Sorry' was originally slated to appear on Queen, but after the controversy with Chapman, the song was removed from the album.

The lawsuit, filed in California, cites copyright infringement, in addition to injury and damage.

Furthermore, Chapman says that before 'Sorry' was dropped from the album, Minaj's team released the song to two radio stations, who played it for their listeners.

After listening to both songs, we're pretty sure Nikki doesn't have a leg to stand on here. What do you think?
