While the rapper previously acknowledged he had a son after responding to Pusha T’s diss track, Drake has just publicly spoken about being a dad for the first time.
According to Page Six, Drake describes himself as a single dad but remains positive on the matter, adding that his son is beautiful.
As you may recall, Sophie Brussaux was reportedly pregnant with Drake's son in 2017, and soon after, she gave birth to the child.
Back then, she claimed the baby was Drake's, but his team refuted those claims -- At least at the time.
Then, in mid 2018, TMZ published a report saying that Drake was paying Brussaux child support.
On HBO’s “The Shop,” Drake said that things haven't been great between he and Sophie but they are working on communicating -- For the sake of their son.
Drake hopes to one day be able to explain what happened to his child, but to do so in such a way that does not jeopardize the child's relationship with Sophie.
While Drake and Sophie seemingly don't get along, the rapper has no ill-will against her and doesn't want his fans to hold anything against her either.
He acknowledges that their son, Adonis, is both of their responsibilities and they are both doing the best they can to co-parent.
