The photograph, which was published on TMZ, shows Demi smiling and in good spirits as she chats with a woman walking her dog.
It is believed Lovato is still in rehab, but she has made great strides towards her recovery, and is able to leave the center for outings.
For the first time in a long time, the pop star looks at ease and genuinely happy in the photo.
Despite the overdose, Demi seems to be at a better place in her life now.
With the support of her family and friends, we have no doubt that she'll be out of rehab in no time and will return to the music scene.
